Newell Picks Up Industry Award For Roofing Product

Galway-based Newell Roofing Products Limited has lifted a coveted award at the 2008 Irish Building Exhibition.

The roofing materials firms, which has been in operation for more than a quarter of a Century, picked-up a certificate of merit in the New Product category for its ExtruPol and ExtruBit FPO Single Ply Membrane for roofing and waterproofing.

A Newell spokeswoman said: "ExtruPol sets the new standard for synthetic membranes used in roofing and waterproofing. Architects, building owners and roofing contractors are provided with a high quality product that is easy to install year round."

ExtruPol FPO is touted as an alternative to PVC due to its eco-friendly benefits.

ExtruPol and ExtruBit membranes are designed for a wide range of applications, which include pool and pond lining and green roofs.
