Almost €2m worth of capital funding projects have been announced for Cork, Kerry, Leitrim, Offally and Tipperary.
The €1.8m investment package capital will go towards improving and extending six family resource centres.
Families Minister Mary Hanafin made the announcement yesterday, stating the monies would be used to improve existing buildings, or begin building new ones.
The news comes a week after grants of around €1m were distributed to similar works across the country.
"The improvements and enhancements that this funding will facilitate will improve the services being provided to the communities which they serve and I am please to be able to support that," said Minister Hanafin.
The Family and Community Services Resource Centre Programme commenced in 1994.
Since then more than 100 such centres have been established throughout Ireland.
In Mallow, Co. Cork, Le Cheile FRC will receive €113,000, in Co Kerry Tralee's B.U.D.S. FRC will receive €297,000, while Listowel FRC will recieve a further €519,000 to help fund a new building.
In Co Leitrim, Mohill FRC will recieve €80,000 while a further €520,000 will be granted to Tullamore's Arden View FRC.
In Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Spafield FRC will receive €301,000
