The cost of building and construction materials fell by 0.3% during November, according to new figures.
Despite the Central Statistic Office's Wholesale Price Index reporting a decrease last month, the cost of materials is still 3.5% higher than 12 months ago.
However, the increase in the building and construction sector remains lower than the average annual manufacturing prices, which are up 5.2% in November.
There are some exceptions detailed in the CSO's report.
Structural Steel increased by 19.2%, while reinforced metal increased by 17.4%. Stone, sand and gravel also increased by 10.8%.
