Greyhound Recycling has been announced as the successful bidder for Dublin's Green Bin collection contract.
The contract went live earlier this week, prior to this date Oxigen was responsible for all green bin collections in the Dublin area.
Greyhound Recycling is now responsible for covering all collections on the green bin routes servicing in excess of 360,000 households.
A number of complaints were made to the council regarding missed collections prior to this date.
The Dublin Local Authorities and Greyhound Recycling have said they will deal with this issue as quickly as possible.
"Where streets or areas have not been serviced Greyhound Recycling will arrange collections before the end of this week. In individual cases where missed bins have not been collected, householders can present all additional dry recyclable materials beside their green bin on the next collection day," a Dublin City Council spokesperson said.
The four Dublin Local Authorities also issued a public apology to customers for the inconvenience caused.
