A top Irish building group has been lauded as an 'outstanding employer' by the body representing Irish Engineers.
Walls Construction achieved the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Accredited Employer standard, awarded by Engineers Ireland, earlier this month.
A spokesman for Walls said: "This award was a key objective of the company and follows an audit of Walls Construction’s lifelong learning practices for engineering professionals.
"The award forms part of our commitment to delivering the optimum solutions to our clients."
The award was presented by Engineers Ireland's Director General and Chartered Engineer, John Power to Managing Director Eugene O'Shea.
Last month Walls Construction completed The O2, in Dublin, for Amphitheatre Ireland on time and to budget.
The scheme provided a state-of-the-art entertainment venue, which is expected to attract world-class artists to the city.
Walls was formed in 1950 and for the first twenty years was mainly involved in the Civil Engineering sector.
Today, Walls provides the resources to respond to clients preferred procurement method – whether it is "Fast Track" or "Traditional" main contracting, Management contracting or Design and Build.
