Tipperary Council Council has sought interest from painting contractors to undertake work on vacant houses in the district.
The council said the work would arise when housing stock became vacant.
The Housing Section of South Tipperary County Council said intends to compile a list of suitably qualified and experienced painting contractors.
"Works as they arise will be tendered to those who are successful on getting on the panel," said a spokesman.
Contractors included on the list have been invited to apply in writing, giving details of qualifications and experience and enclosing a copy of Current C2 certificate from the Revenue Commissioners.
Contractors must have a Public Liability cover at a minimum value of €6.5m and Employers Liability Cover at a minimum value of €13m.
