Budget Hotel Responds To Growing Demand

Well-known Irish hotel chain Travelodge has announced the launch of a new corporate department in response to growing demand by businesses for good value low cost accommodation.

Speaking in Dublin today, Seamus McGowan, Director of Travelodge in Ireland said: "Tough economic times mean that companies the world over are becoming more budget conscious and are no longer willing to pay exorbitantly high prices for unnecessary frills.


"Over the course of the last six months Travelodge has seen a surge in corporate bookings which now account for 25% of our business."

Mr McGowan said the firm anticipates that these numbers will grow to 45% by June of this year.

"Our corporate department is designed to make the booking process straightforward and hassle free for our business customers. Users will be assigned a fixed year-round corporate rate guaranteeing them considerable savings," he said.

"In addition, we have added a number of features to our corporate package such as a corporate breakfast, Wi-Fi access, free car parking in all of our Republic of Ireland hotels and a facility which allows transfers and cancellations up to 12 noon on the day of arrival," added the Director.
