Emergency grant aid has been allocated to St Joseph's Secondary School in Spanish Point, a local TD has revealed.
Tony Killeen confirmed the money would go towards roofing work at the west Clare secondary school.
Mr Killeen received confirmation of the aid from Education Minister Batt O’Keeffe earlier this week.
"This grant aid has been allocated under the Department’s emergency works scheme," he said.
"The unspecified sum will help fund repairs to the school’s damaged roof. The grant was approved by Minister of Education, Batt O'Keeffe, this week and the good news will be conveyed to the school authority shortly."
Last week it was announced that St. Michael's Community College, in Kilmihil, would receive cash to undertake fire safety works at the site.
