Builders and homeowners in the Dundalk area have been urged to make their interest in the state's National Insulation Programme for Economic Recovery known.
Energy Minister Eamon Ryan called on all concerned parties to register their interest in the package, which has been designed to stimulate the economy.
CHIP is assisting Sustainable Energy Ireland in administering this scheme in parts of County Louth.
Mr Ryan said: "Insulation makes homes warmer and more comfortable. Householders in Louth and beyond can expect to halve their heating bills with reductions of €700 per annum.
"This means more money in their pockets," he added.
