NI Water has announced a £16,931 investment programme in Lisburn to improve water and wastewater services in the area.
The package was announced at a Lisburn City Council meeting earlier this month.
NI Water said the programme will bring significant benefits to the local community, economy and meet the needs of the growing population in the city.
The work includes the refurbishment of the Annahilt Wastewater Treatment Works, the upgrade of Hugenot Drive Pumping station and storm sewer extensions at Crumlin Road and Hillsborough.
Chris Mellor, NI Water's Chairman and Chief Executive, said: "This level of investment in Lisburn is part of our commitment to bring water and wastewater services in Northern Ireland up to the highest possible standard, both in terms of quality and cost."
William Duddy, Director of Billing and Development, said: "NI Water has earmarked on a number of projects to begin within the next year to improve services provided to customers in the Lisburn area.
"There is an urgent need to address the issues arising from the legacy of under-investment to enable us to match or exceed performance levels of similar UK water companies by 2015," he added.
