Iarnród Éireann has announced further works at the site of the new Sixmilebridge train station.
Works will be carried out on the R471 at Atterbury Railway bridge, and disruption to road users is expected.
A three-day, full road closure on the R471 at Atterbury Railway bridge in Sixmilebridge will begin next Friday (27 March).
This will facilitate the part demolition of the existing bridge and the construction of a new bridge.
Following the works above there will be part road closures on the R471.
There will be temporary traffic lights at the Railway bridge on the R471 from the 31 March to the 12 April between.
This will allow Iarnród Éireann to carry out works on the approach roads to the bridge.
Diversionary routes will be signposted.
Traffic travelling to Sixmilebridge from Shannon is advised to follow the detour route that will be in operation for the duration of the proposed closure. This detour will be signposted along the L-3177 local road, the R-458 regional road and the R-470 regional road.
