A Chinese firm has committed itself to building a much-mooted 140,000 square foot headquarters in Dundalk.
SATIR has teamed up with Gailmill Developments to put together a design for a substantial factory at the IDA's Finnabair Business Park.
IDA north east regional manager Pat Doherty said the company has lodged a planning application to build a "substantial new facility". Plans were originally unveiled for the building last May.
Proposals put forward are for light industrial facility on an eight acre site on the IDA park at Marshes Upper.
The new building will provide production floor space, storage, conference and staff facilities at ground floor with management suite, training/resources and canteen, and quality control testing on another floor.
