The Response Group, one of Ireland's leading water and wastewater treatment companies, has appointed Tom McDonald to the position of General Manager of Response Engineering.

Mr McDonald has over 20 years engineering experience.

In his new role, Mr McDonald will be responsible for the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment projects for municipal, industrial and commercial clients throughout Ireland.

Mr McDonald began his career with Paterson Candy Ltd UK as a Design Engineer in 1988. In 1995 he was promoted to Section Leader where we worked on several major international projects in England, Scotland, Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt.

In 1999, he was appointed as a Senior Project Engineer with PH McCarthy & Partners. In 2006, Mr McDonald was appointed as Response Group Regional Director.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: "I am delighted to take up this position and look forward to playing an active role in continuing to drive the Response Group strategy in Ireland. I am confident that the first class product service offering will help us to continue to grow in the Irish market."
