Almost €188,000 has been committed to pushing forward the second stage of development works at Coiste Forbartha Pháirc Phobail Acla, Co Donegal.

Communities Minister Éamon Ó Cuív said a grant of €156,651 is being sanctioned under the Gaeltacht Improvements Scheme and a grant of €31,330 under the CLÁR Programme, to enable development works to continue at the Baile na Finne facility.

Among the areas to be included as part of the development works will be the dressing rooms and the car park. Funding will also be used for the purchase of a net and professional fees.

Announcing the grant, the Minister said that he is very happy that his department can assist with this development.

"Once this work has been completed, to top off work that has already been carried out at Páirc Acla, the local community will have the benefit of excellent facilities," he said.
