A Dungannon firm has become Northern Ireland's first window supplier to achieve a vigorous security standard.

Dungannon Window Company Ltd was accredited with the BS:7950 for its PVC-U sash windows.

"Security is of utmost importance to us," said Managing Director Tom Givans, "That is why we decided to put our windows through the ultimate test."

He continued: "Customers can now been reassured that our PVC-u sash windows are one of the safest in Northern Ireland."

"Improving our window doesn't stop here. At Dungannon Windows the new eurosash window has also been through the energy rating tests and has recently accomplished a 'B' rating by the BFRC.

"In effect this means less heating is required to keep your home warm which helps the environmental footprint." He said in the near future the design team at Dungannon Windows will aim to improve the eurosash window to the top "A" rating.

The selection of coloured foils now means Dungannon has the best choice of sash windows in the UK, according to the firm.
