Gerry Barry, the council's Head of Parks and Landscape services, added: "Kylemore Park sets a new standard for parks and open spaces within this city and nationally.
"This project is an example of were local consultation and knowledge was effective at all stages of the design process, the result is an outstanding community facility that sets an impressive benchmark for the future."
