Sligo council has unveiled proposals for a new recreational development in the borough.
The plans, which have been put out for public consultation, will transform the open space at Fairgreen, in Caltragh.
Works will include the provision of play facilities; enclosed multiuse games area; uniformly graded and grassed park area, with avenue planting; park furniture, including seats and picnic tables; new lighting; and other structural planting.
Plans have also been put forward for new pedestrian and cycle paths with entry and exit, and a looped pathway system around the park to serve both as a pedestrian walkway and toddlers bicycle training track.
Associated site works have also be detailed, as has an ongoing maintenance program.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development have been made available for inspection at the Planning Section, in Sligo city hall.
