New state-of-the-art football pitches have been officially opened at Colin Valley Football Club in Poleglass.
Around £390,000 has been invested by the Department of Social Development into providing the sporting facilities, which include a new 3rd Generation (3G) synthetic pitch, the refurbishment of the club's turf pitch and improving access to the grounds.
Minister Margaret Ritchie said: "Providing these local facilities offers an important opportunity for the participation and development of physical and social activities for people living within the Colin Neighbourhood Renewal Area.
"I am aware that many years of planning and hard work have gone into bringing this project in Colin to fruition."
Ms Ritchie commended the Chairperson Kevin Murphy and volunteers of Colin Valley Football Club for their "vision and determination" which culminated in the state of the art facility.
"I would also like to congratulate Colin Valley Football Club on moving up to the Northern Amateur Football League. I am confident that these new facilities will help contribute to further successes for the Club in the future," she added.
