Urban designer and highway contractor, Emtek, has developed a new construction devision, which the Lurgan firm hopes will help it secure more industrial, commercial and residential work.

Emtek was established by Eddie McKee in 1994, employing three members of staff. Today the firm, which has been involved in major national infrastructural schemes, employs 50 people.

Managing director Neil McKee said the firm hopes to build on its success over the last 15 years.

Mr McKee said Emtek has won major highway infrastructure contracts, large urban regeneration schemes and car park/airport perimeter protection projects not just in Northern Ireland but also in Limerick, Cork, Carlow, Dublin, Donegal, Meath and Galway.
