Refurbished Offaly Library Opens

An new-look Clara library has been opened in Co Offaly.

The newly refurbished facility now offers extended services to library users.

A new dedicated children's section has been designation, as has a new teen space for teenage members.

The library has a stock of over 10,000 items including books and a wide range of audio visual materials such as music CDs, DVDs, and audio books on CD.

"We have extended our opening hours to include lunchtime opening Tuesday to Friday and tea time opening on a Thursday evening," said the council.

"We wish to thank all library users for their continued patience during the refurbishment works and extend a warm welcome to everyone to come and use the revamped library."

It is envisaged that the Clara Bog Visitor Centre will open in 2010 following a new fit out.
