There's a bid this month to renovate and extend a Co Mayo house as a bed and breakfast facility along with an associated shop.

Detailed plans were submitted to Mayo County Council by the promoters, Sarah and Nick Faujours for the renovation and extension to the existing building at Mulranny, Westport.

The plans detail the renovation and extension to the building from the previous use of a family run bed and breakfast and local An Post Office to a modern bed and breakfast and retail unit.

The plans include the construction of an extension incorporating eight new ensuite bedrooms, a kitchen, living area, retail unit and private accommodation and all associated site works.

The architect is Keith O'Connell Design Associates.
