Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy welcomed the good progress made to date on the £340,000 bridge widening works in Beragh, Co Tyrone.
The Minister said that when complete the widened bridge will provide a footway between McFarland Terrace on the Cooley Road to the east of Beragh and the town's Main Street.
Work to widen the bridge began in January 2013 and is scheduled for completion in June 2013. The construction work is proceeding to programme and the delivery of precast concrete bridge arch elements are scheduled to be placed either side of the bridge on the 11 & 12 April 2013.
To facilitate this work the road will be temporally closed to traffic on these two days.
Diversions will be signed, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and to allow additional time when planning any journeys on this section of the B46.
