Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy announced the start of a £180,000 major resurfacing scheme on A5 Omagh Road Ballygawley, between the junctions with U311 Cavey Road and C651 Ballynasaggart Road, next week.
The work is due to begin on Monday 27th May 2013 and is expected to last for two weeks.
The Minister said: "The benefits of this scheme will be an improved running surface on this busy arterial route."
To minimise inconvenience to the travelling public and local businesses the work will be undertaken without a road closure. However motorists should be aware that some delays would be unavoidable. For safety reasons, traffic passing the work will be restricted to ten miles per hour when resurfacing is taking place. Additional time should be allowed by motorists when planning any journeys. There will be no delays overnight when work is not taking place.
The scheme is expected to be completed on 8 June 2013.
