Work To Begin On £105,000 Road Scheme In L'Derry

Work is to begin on a £105,000 reconstruction and resurfacing project in L'Derry.

The scheme will take place on the A2 Clooney Road at Judges Road, Maydown, and work is to start on Monday, 20 February.

A Department spokesperson said: "This significant investment will greatly improve the road surface, help meet the needs of the local economy and serve the local community and visitors to the area for many years to come."

The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, 28 February.

To help ensure the safety of road users and contractors a lane closure will operate between 9am and 4pm. Access for local residents and businesses will be accommodated. A contra-flow system will operate on 27 and 28 February to facilitate the laying of the finished surface.
