Irish Water has invested €100,000 to replace old watermains along the N72 near the Liebig factory in Killorglin, Co Kerry.
Paul Cremin, Irish Water's Capital Programmes Regional Lead, said: "This work was essential in order to replace a watermain that was in very poor condition. This section of pipe had burst ten times already in 2017, leading to loss of water supply or reduced pressure for people living in the area. As a result of the completion of this work, local residents and businesses will enjoy a much more secure and reliable water supply."
