IDA Ireland is being urged to make more land available for investment.
Fianna Fail TD James Browne made the call after figures revealed that Wexford has the sixth lowest amount of hectares available for IDA-supported investment in the entire country.
He said: "With just 3.596 hectares available across Wexford, the amount of land available in the county is a damning nine times lower than the amount of available for investment in Wicklow.
"The lack of suitable sites and the lack of available land reveal why the number of IDA visits to Wexford is so low. It is vital that the IDA looks to acquire more sites in Wexford and to make them available to regional, national and international businesses as soon as possible.
"There is great potential for further economic growth in Wexford, but this cannot be achieved if the Government continues to allow the IDA to prioritise other counties ahead of Wexford."
