A series of upgrade works along the Swiss Walk in Cahir from the gates to the Bridge have reached completion.
Tipperary County Council has officially reopened this section of the route to the public.
Further works will take place on the exiting path, with the walkway below the Swiss Bridge closed from today, Monday 08 November. These works are planned to take a number of weeks and will be weather dependent.
As the improvement works being carried out involves the use of heavy machinery on site, the walkway known locally as the Fisherman Path will remain closed for the duration of the works to ensure the safety of the public.
Tipperary County Council has thanked the public for their continued understanding and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
