A £1.9 million programme of water supply improvement works is set to get underway in Antrim later this month.
NI Water and contractor Farrans Glan Aqua will begin work in the Barnish Road area on 28 February for approximately six months. This is part of the utility's ongoing process to improve and upgrade the water supply infrastructure throughout Northern Ireland.
When complete, the upgraded water mains will improve the quality, reliability and security of the local water supply, while reducing leakage.
In order to complete this work efficiently and safely, a road closure will be in place between the Lisnevenagh Road (A26) and Station Road junctions.
The work will be completed in sections to keep disruption to a minimum, with local access maintained. The diversion route will be signposted via: Lisnevenagh Road (A26) – Craigstown Road – Station Road.
