CITB NI has launched the Spring/Summer 2024 heritage training events which aim to address skill shortages and encourage training and development within the sector.

The training courses reflect the current skills shortage in traditional skills areas including Heritage Joinery, Stonemasonry, Stained Glass and Stone Carving workshops.

Working in partnership with Department for Communities Historic Environment Division, this training programme is part of a three year project delivered by CITB NI.

The programme aims to preserve, develop, and deliver heritage skills supply and training in Northern Ireland. This training will unlock the potential of developing jobs and employment in the construction sector.

Participants will be made aware of built heritage and the heritage skills required. The preservation and development of traditional crafts and skills will also be promoted throughout the duration of the programme.
