Clare County Council has launched a new online application portal for those who are qualified and eligible for Social Housing and would like to apply for Housing Assistance Payment (HAP).

The Council believes that the new online portal will make the application process more efficient and easier for all. Those who have already applied for HAP do not have to apply again.

HAP is a financial support available to assist those who rent accommodation privately, and who have been deemed as eligible for social housing support.

An online application ensures that all necessary information is submitted at the time of the application including all necessary documentation. As a result, applications and documents will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.

Before completing the online application form for the Housing Assistance Payment in County Clare, individuals must first be registered on our housing waiting list.
