Water Supply Restored In Leixlip

Water supply has been restored to the majority of customers in Leixlip following a burst to a major trunk water main.

Uisce Éireann crews were immediately deployed to restore normal water supply to impacted customers as quickly as possible in Leixlip and surrounding areas in Co. Kildare.

Repairs have been completed and water supply has returned to the majority of customers at Leixlip village, Wonderfull Barn, Dublin-Celbridge Road and surrounding areas in Co. Kildare. It may take until later today before normal water pressure is fully returned to all customers, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Daniel Kennedy, Water Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, said: "On behalf of Uisce Éireann, I’d like to thank impacted stakeholders for their patience, co-operation, and assistance while we worked late into Saturday night to complete the repairs as quickly as possible."
