A disruption to the water supply in Moneymore, Drogheda, in County Louth has been planned to commence tomorrow, Uisce Éireann has announced.
The interruption will occur from 9pm until 4am on Friday, January 17, to allow for essential watermains replacement works.
Areas impacted by the outage include Hardman Gardens, Sunday's Gate, Church Street, Bóthar Bruga, Pearse Park, Sandyford Terrace, Magdalene Street, Rope Walk and surrounding areas in Moneymore. Up to 3,000 customers may be affected by water interruptions and low pressure.
Uisce Éireann's Declan Healy said: "Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation.
"Following the completion of the works, it can take 2-3 hours for the normal water supply to return as water refills the network, particularly for those properties on high ground or at the end of the network."
