Essential safety works are set to take place from tomorrow to protect a reservoir in Lisburn, County Down, according to Northern Ireland's Department for Infrastructure.
The Panel Engineer at Boomer's Reservior on Derriaghy Road has recommended the removal of a row of trees on the southern boundary of the reservoir to reduce any potential structural damage to the nearby reservoir, which could pose a public safety risk.
As a result, the Department is facilitating the work, on behalf of NI Water, to be carried out during off-peak hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21 and 22.
A lane closure will be in place on Derriaghy Road between Belmont Drive and Haddington Hill from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day and traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
