A four-month road closure has been scheduled to begin next month in County Wicklow to facilitate an active travel scheme.
Works on the Chapel Road Pedestrian and Cyclist Infrastructure Improvement Scheme in Greystones will commence on April 10 with an expected completion date of August 15.
During this timeframe, the L-1027-0 Chapel Road from the roundabout at its junction with the L-1025-0 Delgany Wood Avenue and the L-1027-1 Convent Road to a point north of its junction with Littlebrook and The Poplars (L-10273-0) will close.
Traffic diversions will be in place via the R761 and R762 from the Delgany Wood Avenue (L-1025-0) in the south and from the Blacklion Manor Road (L-1026-0) in the north.
A one-way system will operate southbound along Chapel Road from its junction with Dromont, passing St. Laurence’s National School and returning northbound through Eastmount to re-join two-way road again at the junction of Chapel Road and Dromont.
