Northern Ireland construction firm GRAHAM has successfully delivered a £44 million state-of-the-art school in Downpatrick, County Down, on behalf of the Department of Education.
The new Down High School has been created as a 'best-in-class' education campus which will include a sports hall, PE facilities and multiple sports pitches, catering for up to 950 pupils.
An abundance of sustainability features have been included on the site, with green roofs, extensive wild flower meadows, complete with bee hotel, raised garden planters and greenhouses as well as extensive cycling facilities. Pupils will also have access to a stylish sheltered courtyard for break times.
