John Sisk & Son (Sisk) has finalised all legal and regulatory processes related to its acquisition of Farrans Construction, following approval from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) last month.
Originally announced in September, the agreement sees Sisk acquire Farrans - a prominent Northern Ireland-based building and civil engineering contractor with more than 600 employees. Farrans is recognised for delivering major projects across key sectors such as aviation, water, and renewable energy throughout Ireland and the UK.
The Farrans business will continue to trade under its own brand, and all project operations will continue as normal. The consideration will not be disclosed.
Sisk is Ireland's largest construction and civil engineering company, operating across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Sisk acquired Farrans from the building materials provider CRH.
