Evara has announced it is close to finishing St Helen's Plaza, an 80-apartment building in Adamstown, west Dublin, following a topping out ceremony marking the structure reaching roof level.

The scheme is being delivered by Ireland's largest private homebuilder for Tuath Housing and South Dublin County Council. Tuath, an Approved Housing Body, will manage the A-rated homes, which are intended for people on the Council's local housing waiting list.

Councillor Pamela Kearns, Mayor of South Dublin, and James Browne TD, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, attended the ceremony at St Helen's Plaza.

Located near The Crossings town centre, the five-storey development comprises 56 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom apartments. A ground-floor creche, to be occupied by Giraffe Childcare, forms part of the project.

Residents will be within walking distance of Adamstown Train Station and less than a kilometre from the Adamstown retail and transport hub, including The Crossings with supermarkets, cafés and local services. The area is well connected to the M4 and N4, and Airlie Park, a large public park with sports and recreation facilities, lies about 250 metres to the north.

The project is the result of collaboration between Evara, Tuath, South Dublin County Council, the Department of Housing and the Housing Finance Agency to accelerate housing delivery in Dublin.
