Coffey has secured a contract to deliver upgrade works at Derby Sewage Treatment Works (STW).

Derby STW is one of Severn Trent Water's principal wastewater treatment facilities, serving Derby and surrounding communities.

As well as treating wastewater, the site contributes to renewable energy generation and resource recovery through advanced sludge treatment and anaerobic digestion.

The programme will enhance the plant's long-term resilience and performance, focusing on improving the reliability of critical inlet infrastructure and electrical systems.

Coffey's scope includes replacing and upgrading core mechanical and electrical assets to help ensure the site continues to operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
