ESB has welcomed more than 70 graduates from Irish and overseas third-level institutions into its tailored Graduate Development Programme. The group spans disciplines including engineering, IT, HR, commercial, marketing and finance, and will work on impactful assignments and major projects to gain hands-on experience across the organisation.
The programme is a cornerstone of ESB's wider recruitment drive across the island of Ireland and internationally to help deliver its Net Zero by 2040 strategy.
The cohort was greeted at induction by chief executive Paddy Hayes. Throughout the programme, each graduate will be supported with an individual mentor within their chosen business unit, IT equipment and access to hybrid working as part of ESB's smart working approach.
Sinéad Kilkelly, ESB's Executive Director, People & Organisation Development, said: "At ESB, we are committed to investing in the next generation of talent. Our graduate programme offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects and develop the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry. We are pleased to welcome this year's graduates and wish them every success as they embark on their journey with ESB."
Recruitment for the 2027 Graduate Development Programme opens on 28 September, with applications invited from final-year and post-graduate students via www.esb.ie/careers.
