Burst Main Causes Dungarvan Outage As Repairs Under Way

Construction News Image

Uisce Éireann crews are on site in Dungarvan carrying out repair works on a burst water main.

Affected areas include Dungarvan, Abbeyside, Clonea and the surrounding areas.

Maura Phelan Uisce Éireann, said: "We understand how inconvenient an unexpected water outage can be. Our main priority is fixing this burst and returning a normal supply to all our customers. We really appreciate everyone in the community bearing with us while our crews get water back to homes and businesses."

Repairs are expected to be completed later this evening, after which water supplies will return gradually over the following hours. Customers in higher-lying locations or at the ends of the network may experience a longer wait while the system refills.

To keep crews and the public safe during the works, traffic management will be in place and clearly signposted. Local residents and road users are thanked for their cooperation.
