The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) are to co-host a lecture by world-renowned Japanese architect, Tadao Ando.
The event, which will take place on Sunday 23 September at the O’ Reilly Hall, UCD, is sponsored by the Kerlin Gallery and the Tea Room at the Clarence Hotel.
Tadao Ando is a Japanese architect, recognised worldwide for his creative approach to architectural projects. Ando’s works explores the relationships between culture and nature with a strong connection between the internal and external in architecture.
In 1995, Ando won the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize medallion, an award generally considered to be the equivalent to the Nobel Prize in Architecture.
