A new £27m hotel is to open its doors to Belfast visitors in March, it has been announced.
The Fitzwilliam Hotel will take up a prime location in the city centre, boasting 130 bedrooms and creating 110 new jobs for Belfast.
Businesswoman June Burgess is behind the venture, which will operate as part of Grafton Properties.
Located at the corner of Great Victoria Street and Grosvenor Road, beside the Grand Opera House, the hotel will be run by Hotel Partners as part of a network that includes the Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin.
According the the developer, works at the site have progressed well.
Overseeing the interior fit-out is Christopher Ash. The designer said: "The look of the hotel plays on and develops the themes originated for the original Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin."
Offering a luxurious penthouse overlooking the city, visitors will also be treated to a private dining room.
Vincent O'Gorman has been appointed by Hotel Partners as the general manager of the hotel.
