Transport provider Translink expanded the car-park capacity from 10 to 71, including two accessible spaces.
Larne Line Route Manager, Frank Moore, said: "This excellent new facility will improve passengers' journey experiences and cater for the increasing demand on Park and Ride sites.
"We have already invested around £0.5m in Park and Ride for the local East Antrim community and have plans for further developments at both Jordanstown and Whiteabbey rail stations.

"Work is due to start later this month at Jordanstown. We hope that these improvements will encourage even more passengers onboard our services."
Mayor of Carrickfergus Patricia McKinney said the larger park and ride facility will help make journeys faster, safer and more comfortable.
"Park and Ride plays an important role in encouraging more commuters to travel sustainably and I hope that people will take advantage of this new facility and integrate the train into their daily travel routine," said the Mayor.
The new Park and Ride facility complements other upgrade work recently completed at the station to improve passenger access and provide a better journey experience, including: the installation of CCTV, lighting and fencing to increase security and safety along with cycle shelter provision, landscaped areas and direct and easy access to the platform.
