New gas heating systems have been installed in 90 Housing Executive homes in Londonderry.
Tenants in the area have welcomed the investment, including Denise Irvine from Joyce Court.
She said: "We are absolutely delighted with our new gas heating."
Ms Irvine is just one of scores of Ballymagroarty who have had the their heating systems improved.
Welcoming the completion of the scheme Housing Executive District Manager, Kevin McDowell, said: "As the Regional Housing Authority for Northern Ireland we are committed to reducing the impact of fuel poverty and improving energy efficiency across all tenures.
"Up until now tenants living in these properties had mainly electric or roomheaters as their form of heating. Now with the installation of gas central heating their homes will not only be more comfortable and warmer but also more energy efficient."
The contract was carried out by H&A Mechanical Services Ltd who is the Housing Executive's Egan contractor for heating schemes.
