An £790,000 external maintenance scheme involving 200 homes has commenced in the Hillhall area of Lisburn.
Lisburn District Manager Jill England said: "This investment is part of our programme of work that is designed to maintain the external fabric of our properties in addition to our normal repair service."
Work will involve replacing external doors, and providing canopies over the front doors, as well as servicing the windows and repairing or replacing fences.
"This investment demonstrates the Housing Executive’s commitment to ensuring tenants have modern comfortable homes that are maintained on a regular basis," said Ms England.
The Hillhall Regeneration Group also welcomed the start of the scheme, saying: "The residents have been waiting for a few years for this work and it will go a long way to brightening up the area. We hope this will be the start of a major upgrade for the area."
