Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is seeking public feedback on the Emerging Preferred Concept for the Druid's Glen Road Phase 3 Bridge Project.
This non-statutory 'Have Your Say' public consultation focuses on a key infrastructure element within the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone (SDZ), aimed at supporting new housing, employment and sustainable transport.
The Phase 3 bridge will complete the Druid's Glen Road and provide a strategic transport link between Lehaunstown and the N11. It will also enable access to development lands zoned under the Cherrywood Planning Scheme.
The proposed bridge is a hybrid extradosed structure, approximately 150 metres in length, crossing the Carrickmines River. It has been selected for its visual sensitivity, efficient construction and reduced environmental footprint that will help protect the unique ecological and heritage setting of Druid's Glen Valley.
The public consultation has now opened and will run until August 28.
Councillor Jim Gildea, An Cathaoirleach, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, said: "This is an important opportunity for the public to have their say on a key piece of infrastructure that will support the sustainable development of Cherrywood. The Druid's Glen Road Phase 3 Bridge Project will not only improve connectivity but also help deliver much-needed housing, services, and jobs for our growing communities. I encourage everyone with an interest in the area to get involved and share their views during the consultation."
