Bennett Construction has been appointed by Diageo to deliver the 'Guinness at Old Brewer's Yard', a new microbrewery and culture hub at Old Brewer's Yard in the centre of Covent Garden, London.

The £73 million investment builds on the success of the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin and the opening of Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh in 2021.

The 50,000 sq ft development involves the remodelling of existing buildings on Neal Street, Mercers Lane, and Shelton Street. The project will deliver event spaces in each building and a central covered courtyard. The location of the project in the heart of Covent Garden and the nature of the historic buildings has presented significant logistical and technical challenges that are being overcome daily by the project team.

Bennett Construction has been brought in to deliver the final stages of the project and is on track to deliver it by the end of 2025. The team is excited to be involved in what is a flagship project for Diageo.
