Clare County Council has today announced the launch of a new Streetscape Enhancement Scheme in Ennis, aimed at supporting businesses to refresh their shop fronts following the completion of the town's major Public Realm Works.

The scheme offers grants of up to €1,000 to assist with painting, façade improvements, and repairs to gutters and downpipes. It is open to all owners and occupiers of commercial properties within the Ennis Architectural Conservation Area, as well as standalone residential properties that directly adjoin the areas affected by the public realm enhancements. Applications will open online on February 2, 2026, and will remain available until February 27, 2026.
