Civic Campus To Be Sited Close To M50

A new €40 million state-of-the-art civic centre is to be constructed close to the M50 motorway.

Dun Laoighaire/Rathdown County Council is to build the Samuel Beckett Civic Campus project sited at Ballyogan. It will be one of the largest of its type in Ireland will see civic community services located in one central location.

The campus will include a library, a sports centre, swimming pool, and a sports park. The associated sports park will include football pitches and a skate park and trails in the adjacent 18-acre park space.

A Council confirmed that construction is expected to commence in around 18 months and architects Bucholz McEvoy will design the campus site.
